The ‘Recess’ Podcast

Where conversations are our playground..

Step into the world of “Recess,” a podcast initiative that amplified the voices of youth and young adults while highlighting their unique perspectives and lived experiences. Created by Creative Justice in partnership with Converge Media and hosted by a dynamic team of young people, “Recess” served as a platform for candid conversations around topics including mental health, substance use, personal growth, creativity, and community.

Throughout the series, each episode explored the stories that shape our lives through heartfelt discussions, thoughtful interviews, and honest reflection. “Recess” created space for young people to lead conversations, share their truths, and connect with broader audiences through the power of storytelling.

The podcast reflected Creative Justice’s ongoing commitment to uplifting youth voice, fostering healing-centered dialogue, and creating media that challenged, inspired, and celebrated community. Through laughter, vulnerability, and critical conversations, “Recess” offered listeners an opportunity to pause, reflect, and engage with the experiences and insights of young people navigating the world around them.
